Oil Painting for Absolute Beginners

 6 week beginner oil painting class

     This thorough beginner friendly 6 week class is a perfect start for any new oil painter, whether you've only tried it a few times, need a refresher, or have never touched the medium before. This class is for you!

     I will use a combination of tested and proven academic principals with my own self taught techniques, and years of teaching experience, to introduce you to oil painting in a non-intimidating, slow moving, and easy to digest way.

     We will cover everything from materials and how to select them, to paint handling, color mixing and values, choosing references, brush techniques, and much more. With ample side by side easel time and live demos. Join me in May to begin your oil painting journey and learn what you can really do!

BUILDING REALISM IN ACRYLICS

 5 week beginner/intermediate painting class

     This thorough, 5 week, beginner friendly class is a perfect start for any new painter, or a great repertoire builder for the intermediate artist, I will use a combination of tested and proven academic principals with my own self taught techniques to improve and refine your representational painting skills.

     We will cover everything from materials and how to choose them, to color mixing and values, choosing references, using layers to build dimension and much more. With ample side by side easel time and live demos. Join me in October to take your painting the next level and learn what you can really do!

RESERVATION POLICY: Full tuition must be paid in advance to guarantee slot.

PRORATE POLICY: Scheduled missed classes can be prorated from the total fee if notified upon reservation. Participation in classes that were prorated will need to be paid on the day of said class.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Reservations can be cancelled for a full refund up to 7 DAYS before the workshop is scheduled to begin. (This means if class begins on a Tuesday, you have until the end of the previous Tuesday to cancel.) After which point fees are non-refundable regardless of participation.
